On October 5, 2013 Nick went to work on his jeep, like he does so many other days. But this day was different. He wasn't actually working on his Jeep at all. He, along with some good friends, was going to set up fireworks; something else that they do regularly. This time the fireworks were for something else. Laurie had spent the day with a friend. She went on her way to pick up Nick from his friend's acreage, where the Jeep was. Upon arriving Nick asked Laurie to walk with him a little bit. He was clearly nervous something was on his mind. They walked to a clearing and he turned to her. He pulled out a box, looked her in the eyes and said "Will Ya?". Tears welling up she said, "of course!!!!". Nick pulled out a walkie talkie and said, "go!" And there was the most special , wonderful fireworks Laurie had ever seen. Hearts filled with love and raw emotion the two of them watch the show!
Thank you to Bill and Tim of Skyart Fireworks in Edmonton, for making this proposal so incredibly special! |
