Eric's best friend, Ryan Brimlow and his newly wed wife, Nina Brimlow, were all in on the planning of the proposal. Eric had told Ryan & Nina that he was planning to propose to Shelby while they were in Orange Beach, Alabama for their wedding. Once Eric had told them about this, The next big step in Shelby's and Eric's relationship- they had a grand idea of doing it during the bouquet toss after their ceremony!! The plan was to instead of throwing the bouquet to have Nina pretend like she was going to toss it then to only turn around and walk towards Shelby and hand it to her with Eric being behind her on one knee.
