In 1994, Jade & Darryl met as young children at P.S. 11 elementary school. Darryl and Jade initially met in the first grade. By third grade, they became inseparable. December 1995, there was a Christmas secret Santa grab bag going on in the classroom. What was the coincidence Darryl would have chosen Jade? No coincidence at all. It wasn't until Jade & Darryl were adults that Darryl admitted to switching names with a boy who initially picked her name- Jade is happy Darryl did. That Christmas, Darryl gave her some of the best gifts she has received to date. 

Their "puppy love" grew, writing each other letters throughout the day and talking to one another on the phone after school until their parental would interrupt. They attended the same Junior High School, Park Place Community Middle School and grew to be closer friends. The two always knew they would have a friend in one another.

However, time passed and the two lost contact. Jade was pursuing higher education at Virginia State University and Darryl was doing the same at Gateway Community College in Connecticut. In 2007, the two briefly rekindled during a recess from school. This is when Darryl knew Jade was the one and had to become his Mrs. Jade on the other hand had other plans. Jade returned back to Virginia State University to finish school. During this time Darryl and Jade played cat and mouse. Darryl was persistent, contacting Jade frequently trying to date- she declined every time. In 2010, after Jade graduated, another fire sparked between the two; one that would burn forever. The two began dating and quickly fell in love. In 2012, the two was blessed with a beautiful and bouncy baby girl, Khloe. From the two became three, a loving family. On Easter of 2016, another addition was added to their family, Kali, their baby energizing bunny.

In June 2016, the two decided to build further as the future Mr & Mrs. Darryl D. Harris.
