Amanda and I met at the University of Michigan, Cardiac intensive Care Unit. Initially, she thought I was a bitch because a medication counting incident. Took her nine months to tell me this, and then it only came out over a fair amount of adult beverages. She is the brillant, kind-hearted, empathetic, hopeful, beautiful person I strive to be. She is thoughtful in ways I admire and is always encouraging me to challenge myself. She's rubbed my back when I had to cry, got me drunk when the boys were stupid, and we have had the most excellent adventures, from concert road trips to kayaking Lake Superior!

Stacie and I met way back in the day...when we both worked Emergency Department at St. Joe's - Ann Arbor. She would say we met at the time clock...3 minutes late, every day.

To say that we've been through a lot together would be putting it mildly. I have known her babies since they were babies. I changed their diapers. I bet them little things would fit up their noses. We have ridden bikes around Milan, cooked and baked at each other's homes, made snowmen, gone swimming in Mom & Dad's pond, been to court together, help each other move heavy furniture, and her oldest even lived with me for a while.

No matter where we end up, no matter how much time goes by, I know this beautiful woman will always have my back and always be my friend.

Selena is Michael's vivacious, spunky, talented, loving, beautiful daughter. It has been so fun getting to know her and I'm looking forward to watching her mature into the awesome woman she's becoming. It means so much to have her stand with me and Michael when we get married.

Mike is my first born and a very wonderful young man. I rememeber when he was little how excited he use to get when he heard me come home from work. I would go to his room and I picked him up just to see him laugh and smile, it always made me feel like I was on top of the world. To watch Mike grow up into the fine young man that he is couldn't make me any prouder. He is loves to skateboard and he is very good at it. I am very excited and honored to have Mike as my Best Man.

Joseph is my 2nd oldest. He has grown into a fine young man, kind and sweet. Like his brother, he used to get so excited when I got home from work, but he would run and try to tackle me. He used to want to try follow in my foot steps as a chef. Maybe one day he will.

I'm so proud both Joseph and Selena studied Tang Soo Do Karate with me. Joey earned his red/gold stripe belt. 

I'm honored to have him stand with me when I wed Jenna. Joseph and Jenna have an amazing relationship. They love picking and teasing each other.

Tony and I go way back, since we were kids. He's one of my best friends. We played youth football together, went to middle school together, hung out at the arcade, or generally got into mischief. He's the person who has my back and I have his. Not saying it happened, just saying it's entirely possible for us to end up sitting next to each other...in a cell...saying that was awesome!

We don't always have to hang out together but we know we are there for each other. We might not have seen each other in months and we could just hang out and have a beer and it's like we haven't missed a beat. I am honored to have Tony in my wedding and to call him my friend.
